..has struck Stockholm today with the public release of the device in select stores. Many of my friends, which are grown-up adults (and not teenagers) go complete nuts and cue up for hours at dawn to be the first to get their hands on the new preciousssss…. And n.b. these are all 3GS owners! On Facebook, I am hammered by log-entries on how (the (few that actually got a phone ) go through every step of the installation of SIM-cards etc, whereas many of the rest (the wannabees) stand in awe and ask questions on how it feels to have one and how it works.
As an innocent bystander, I must really admire Apple for their ability to keep this rather large core of aficionados that will be there on the barricades to buy their new model, almost regardless of the features it has or the potential problems it may have. It is definitely not only about performance (the heck with radios and antennas, who cares ?), but the look & feel and, most importantly having the toy that my friend has not yet.
