China Mobiles OPhone in trouble?

I am reading a news story in shanzai.com  about the imminent demise of the OPhone, China Mobiles attempt to make low end smart-phone with a local adaptation of Android.  Even though there is a massive customer base, it still seems difficult to operators to take charge of the platform business. “It will always be one generation old” is the quoted main reason for failure.

He has been among the few in Swedens Ny Teknik magazine's annual list of influential people in ICT that have been given the epithet “Mobile Guru”.
