Back to circuit switched – the optimal anti mobile broadband device

Johns phoneJohns Phone is a brand new GSM device for those who actively deselects the mobile broadband evolution. This device is just for making calls, and lack every data service whatsoever including SMS. The main features are battery life time (more than 3 weeks) and a paper note book and a pen (the notebook and pen works even if your are out of coverage or the battery is flat!). I have been using the device since Saturday March 12 and it performs well according to expectations.

I am trying to figure out if I like it or not. One key question is, how much does it cost?

    • Mats Nilsson says:

Answer to Maria, as I remember the price range for John’s Phone is between 69 and 99 Euro depending on clour and design of the unit. You are also working in the mobile valley of Kista and close to the Center for Wireless Systems Reaserach at KTH, Wireless@KTH, next time we meet I’ll deomstrate the unit for you.

This is really green technology ;). Thinking that the battery last for 3 weeks without being re-charged amazes me.
